Very sad. Poor old Xfire is finally giving up the ghost.

Dang, Xfire was one of the better chat clients out there, even if it was hideous. Also, I would ask that we use a client that also runs on Linux, cause I'd like to be able to continue to talk to you guys when I don't have a copy of Windows anymore.  Something that supports XMPP like Pidgin would be good. I'll give a link when I find something

EDIT: Google Hangouts might work well, it can do IM, voice, and video, it's free, and runs on phones etc as well.  I'm [email protected], if anyone wants to use this

Yah but you can't use in game chat, that's kind of annoying.

If only games had some sort of in-game chat...    But hangouts would be good for voice in-game and work fine for messaging outside of a game

I'm not against the idea, I also think maybe this "evolve" program may be a possible option they say they are going to do your operating system on their next version I think.
