- URGENT MESSAGE -
Disney has just bought out Lucasfilm, the creative team behind the Star Wars films, including the TV series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars as well as Indiana Jones. In short, this means no more 20th Centry Fox theme, more Star Wars films and even more stupid stuff released because Disney is patheticly incompetent!
How could George let this happen?! Disney has already bought Pixar, then Marvel and now Lucasarts (more importantly Star Wars). How do you react to this horrendous news? | |

I was thinking about making a topic about this! Well, all Lucas Films has done latley is put out garbage, so I don't see how it can get much worse(Indiana Jones 4, The Clone Wars series, Clone wars movie, etc.) If I was George Lucas I would have cashed in on it too! | |

Yes, I was talking about this with my sister, (breiffly, she was carving a pumpkin) and I said that it would be probably be in the Legacy era, being 40+ ABY or during the Old Republic. It's the only possible chocies...
Then comes casting problems, who's to play all of the iconic characters from the EU? Will the tri (Luke, Leia and Han) come back with their respectful actors to reprise their roles? Will John Williams live long enough to score the next films?! | |

I knew this would happen one day... Just i didn't expect ... STUPID DISNEY... Star Wars is doomed! I can't imagine the horrible music that will be in star wars now. The one thing that would be worse than this would be if Disney make a SW movie with [shudders] pixar! | |

Well, now that Yoda has revealed himself to be an australian Who fan, yes this is terrible. I didn't really mind Disney buying up the Muppets, and I was kind of indiffrent to them buying Marvel but this? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. The film will be a total flop. | |

I'm sorry to break this to you, but the movie will start off with an amazing first week turnout. Peopleeverywhere want to see a new Star Wars movie, and George wouldn't give them THAT. Disney has already worked with SOME star wars (Star Tours) and they are promising to continue the saga. They WILL be using the original scripts that George originally wrote way back when. As for the music, well, I HOPE that John Williams is still alive. Besides, won't you want to see it when it comes out? I know I will, even though I don't generally LIKE Disney movies. Mostly I'm just curious to see what Disney DOES that they think will benefit the saga. (Also, I AM a little excited for new video games)

There were a few great Disney Movies, National Treasure for an example, many of their older animated movies were great as well. | |
