This is to discuss our TcFILM NIGHTS, the other one was a bit crowded so I decided to start a sequal thread. (NOTE: Let's try to keep this one a bit cleaner then the last)

How do you feel about black & white movies? I can suggest quite a few good ones.

As I said in the other topic, I propose the first Narnia movie, however, the last additions were not that great..

Aw damn. I loved how the other one was long... And no to all of R5's films - I've seen two of them, and the others sounds very, dull, if they are anything like the other two in the catagory. No offence, of course. ...Lord of the Rings marathon?

Not really really a fan of the Lord of the Rings movies. I understand that A Few Good Men is good, although I know nothing about it save this bit: You can't handle the truth!

Oh no - it's mostly debates in courts and lots of politics...

Right meow, I'm thinking we should watch Super Troopers or Forrest Gump... Anyone? Don't know about R5's movies, as I haven't finished googling them all yet, although Iwo Jima might be good.

Iwo Jima is a great movie, the main character is a U.S.M.C drill sergeant who everyone hates, but you'll see how it changes and why if we watch it, definitely among my favorite movies (main star is John Wayne who plays the drill sergeant).

Forrest Gump is a classic, you godless heathen. There are far worse films- Hangover, Hangover 2, Anchorman, Source Code (What were those writers thinking?), Inception... Iwo Jima sounds good... or The Great Gatsby, maybe?

Inception wasn't that bad, it was just an action movie in a dream in a dream in a dream. I'm not against Forest Gump, A few good men, Iwo Jima, or Super Troopers. Honestly though, this looks like it's going to be a tough decision, Between Krats' classics, RC's old horror movies, and Rick's criticism, I don't see how we're ever going to figure this out!

Classic or not, I found it horrifically dull and unfulfilling. Might want to add The Dark Crystal to your list of bad films.
I saw The Great Gatsby, and I must say that by teh commercials it looked like my kind of film, but ended up being a bit of a drag. While it was never faithful to it's source material, I prefered the novel.

I'm good with watching A Few Good Men, Iwo Jima, The Great Gatsby, Gump, Episode III, or Super Troopers so... Any other suggestions or should we decide on something?

I support David's notion for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!

Vote for one of the official movie choices. I vote Star Wars Episode III

So, I take it Penguin strongly dislikes the idea of watching Narnia? Two people favored it, and it isn't even up there
